• Read the order detailsCheck speed, contract length, price after any promotion, installation and equipment.
• Confirm the activation dateYour new provider should tell you when the service is due to start.
• Keep equipment-return instructionsOld routers and set-top boxes usually need to go back. Late returns can be charged.
• Know where to get help if something is delayedStart with the new provider. If that fails, Ofcom-approved alternative dispute resolution may apply.
