What broadband speed do you need?

Last reviewed 8 October 2026. OneTouchSwitch editorial desk. A named individual reviewer is not yet appointed.

Advertised speeds are not a promise at your door. This finder suggests a download range and an upload figure from how the household uses the connection. Only an address check can say what that home can actually receive.

What to do now

Use the estimate, then check the address. The gaining provider, not OneTouchSwitch, completes any switch.

Baseline about 60 Mbps download. Comfortable about 85 Mbps. High-performance about 135 Mbps.

Upload to aim for: about 20 Mbps if the network can supply it. Full fibre is usually stronger on upload than part-fibre. That is a technology difference, not a speed you are owed.

  • A single person lightly browsing can be fine around 30 Mbps download.
  • Regular streaming is happier with spare capacity, not only the minimum a service quotes.

This is an estimate, not a provider quote. Actual charges, installation dates and eligibility can vary. OneTouchSwitch is not Ofcom, not TOTSCo, and not your provider.

Free. No obligation. We use the address to show what can actually be supplied.
