Broadband price rises in the UK

How mid-contract inflation-linked increases work, and how we show them in comparisons.

Last reviewed 8 September 2026. Last fact-checked 8 September 2026.

The monthly price is not the whole story

Introductory rates often last 6–18 months. After that, the in-contract price can be higher. Many contracts also allow an annual rise, commonly described as CPI plus a fixed percentage. Always read the provider’s wording.

How we show cost

We show the advertised monthly price, any promotional period, the price after the promotion where we have it, upfront charges, and an estimated first-year total. We do not invent a future CPI number and call it a guarantee.
