The name was a gift to confusion. Community Fibre in London is a commercial full-fibre network that wins buildings and streets the way other alt-nets do: capital, wayleaves, risers, a retailer app. It is not a barn-raising. Treating it as a moral movement is how you ignore the year-one numbers. Treating it as ‘just another Sky’ is how you miss that they have to have signed your block.
Building first
Ask whether the freeholder or agent has completed the agreement, whether the riser is in, whether your floor is lit. A marketing map of a borough is not that list.
If they are in the corridor already, the install is a different product from a street that still needs a spine.
Versus Hyperoptic, versus Openreach
Two building-led stories and a street-led giant. Where two are live, pick the year and the install hassle. Where only the building-led is live, it is not a boutique — it is the line.

If you are searching ‘community fibre’ because a parish wants a scheme, you are in the wrong piece. If you are in a London flat, you are in the right one.
