BRSK in the suburbs
A suburban FTTP builder of closes, not counties. The next estate is not a coverage map.

Suburban Britain is where alt-nets go to look like the future: a quiet close, a new spine, a logo the neighbours have not learned to spell. BRSK is one of those vans. Sometimes the close is finished and the comparison finally has two FTTP plants. Sometimes the van is two streets away and a Facebook group has decided you are covered. Plots are not groups. Run the plot.
Closes, not counties
Coverage is a handful of streets at a time. A borough mention in a press release is a fundraising sentence.
If you are in, you have a choice. Use it. If you are out, you have Openreach or cable or a wait. Use those.
New-build versus infill
On a new estate they may be the developer’s friend, with empty sockets that are not empty. On infill they are a wayleave and a polite argument with a pavement.
Empty-socket rules still apply. See the new-build piece. Do not assume the branded socket is live.
Fashion
A new van collects early adopters who will forgive a firmware. You do not have to be one. Compare the year and the install date.
If they win, good. Fashion that loses on the year is a forum.

A close is a coverage unit. A suburb is a feeling. Order the close.
Suburban overbuild is one of the nicer British surprises. It is still a plot-level surprise. Stay plot-level.
Questions
- Is BRSK on CityFibre?
- No — it is its own build in the places it has built. Do not mix wholesale umbrellas.
- The estate next door has it.
- Ask for your plot. Developers sign different agreements. Suburb names are not coverage.
- Should I wait if they are trenching?
- If Openreach is already live, only wait for a dated, near install that wins the year. Trenching is not a date.
- Own router / static IP?
- Ask. Smaller nets vary, and the forum post is last year’s firmware.
- Are they a ‘proper’ ISP?
- If they can supply and bill and repair, yes. Size is not morality. Complaints data is a better snobbery.
